Police have thanked the public and media for help finding a teenage girl reported missing last week.
EARLIER: Police say they are appealing for assistance to locate a teenage girl last seen in Lismore, on Sunday 22 March 2026.
When Mickalya Schipp, aged 16, could not be located or contacted, Richmond Police District police say they were contacted about 10pm on Tuesday 24 March and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.
They say ‘Police and family hold concerns for her welfare due to her age’.
‘Mickalya is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 147cm tall, of medium build, with bright, red hair, freckles and grey eyes.
‘She was last seen wearing grey tracksuit pants, a black t-shirt and carrying a black backpack.
‘Mickayla is known to frequent the Lismore and Ballina areas’, they say.
