Author Kathy Lette was in Bangalow last Friday to promote her latest witty novel, Sisterhood Rules. She was in conversation with Nell Schofield, who starred in the Puberty Blues film, which was based on the book by Lette and Gabrielle Carey.
Hosted by the Byron Writers Festival, Lette managed to turn the literary event into something more closely resembling a comedy set. Described on Kath & Kim as the ‘Thinking Lady’s Hornbag’, she told the audience she is an ‘autodidact’, a word she taught herself.
