Police are asking the public for help finding 73-year-old Tweed Shire woman Yvonne Whear, reported as missing for more than a week.
Investigating officers from the Tweed/Byron District say she was most recently seen about 3.22pm on Thursday 19 February, driving north along Murwillumbah’s Queensland Road towards the small town of Dungay, near the interstate border.

She was driving her gold-coloured Ford Escape wagon with NSW registration EWS28P and had previously been seen at the Shell Service Station on Tweed Valley Way at Murwillumbah about 3.15pm the same day.
Murwillumbah and Dungay on alert

Police say they established the sightings of Ms Whear after they were notified of her disappearance on Saturday 21 February, with her family describing it as out of character and reporting serious concerns for her welfare.
Previous alerts on social media said Ms Whear hadn’t been seen since Wednesday 18 February on Campbells Road in Dungay.
Yvonne Whear is described as Middle Eastern/European in appearance, 154 centimetres tall, with a medium to solid build, long grey/brown hair and a large scar possibly on her right arm.
Police say she is known to frequent the Murwillumbah and Dungay areas.
Anyone with information into Yvonne Whear’s whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Murwillumbah Police Station directly.
