This year’s much-anticipated Casino Truck Show has added camping to the event, and Richmond Valley Council are encouraging visitors to stay and explore the region.
They said in a media release, ‘From Wednesday 29 July to Monday 3 August, self-contained event camping will be available at the Casino Showground, just five minutes from the town centre, offering a convenient base for the full weekend’.
‘The showground precinct recently underwent a $15m redevelopment and upgrade by the Australian and NSW Governments in partnership with Richmond Valley Council.
‘The Casino Truck Show is one of the premier heavy vehicle events in Australia, drawing truck enthusiasts, industry professionals, and families from across the nation and New Zealand to the Northern Rivers town.
‘Sites are limited, with a two-night minimum stay, and people are asked to book early to guarantee a preferred location.
‘The showground offers two types of sites for self-contained campers to suit all setups:
• Powered Sites (10m x 10m) — spacious sites with power connection for those who need it
• Unpowered Sites (8m x 8m) — generous unpowered sites for those who prefer a more self-sufficient setup
‘Secure your site now by booking through the Casino Truck Show website, or calling Council on 02 6660 0300 for more information’.
