Hinterland residents should be on the lookout for feral deer, say Tweed Shire Council.
They say, ‘While numbers in Northern NSW are still low, feral deer can multiply quickly, says Tweed Shire Council’.
‘Once rare in Southeast Queensland, feral deer now cause millions of dollars in damage every year and are extremely difficult to control.
‘Right now, we have a crucial opportunity to stop them establishing in the Northern Rivers’.
