
North Coast Regional Landcare Network (NSW), based in Grafton, has received $1,277,801 over a four year period, thanks to a NSW government grant.
The grant is called NSW Landcare Enabling Program 2023-2027: Local and Regional Coordinators and is administered by the Department of Regional NSW and funded by the Local Land Services (LLS).

Objective
According to https://www.nsw.gov.au/grants-and-funding/nsw-landcare-enabling-program-2023-2027-local-and-regional-coordinators, the objective of the NSW Landcare Enabling Program ‘is to facilitate the employment of local and regional Landcare coordinators and regional administration support officers in 11 NSW Local Land Services regions’.
The grant breakdown
North Coast Local Innovation Regional Impact – $579,268.
‘Through environmental innovation, leadership development, education, digital integration and strategic communications, this project builds collaboration, visibility and long-term self-sustenance while supporting natural capital and climate preparedness outcomes’.
Walking Together: North Coast Aboriginal Partnerships & Cultural Capability Program – $698,533
‘Building on prior investment, this project will continue employment of Aboriginal Coordinators and embed culturally safe governance and workforce practices’.
The government says 22 projects across the state received a share of $10 million in grant funding through the Landcare Enabling Program.
