Pickleball has been taking the Northern Rivers by storm and the latest are the Positively Pickleball games at Goonellabah Tennis and Pickleball Club.
They have launched a new intergenerational event called ‘Legends & Lightning’ where doubles partners must have at least a 25-year age gap.
‘The sessions have quickly grown, with families, teenagers, parents, and players in their 70s all participating together,’ said Lisa Fletcher from Positively Pickleball.
‘The program was designed to create connection across generations through social sport, and we’ve received wonderful feedback from parents saying they’re cherishing the quality time spent with their kids.
‘We also run inclusive community programs including sessions for para-athletes and beginner women’s events.’
