Dear Ms Nash, I am sure Echo readers are tired of this continuing tit for tat, and I’d otherwise leave it alone.
You seem; however, to insist on extolling the wondrous dynamism of the Suffolk Park Community Association (SPCA) executive by denigrating the work of their predecessors – people I have worked with, and whose skills and hard work I have admired.
When did this ‘collapse’, inducing inertia, begin? At the AGM last year, or further back?
Was it the inertia that meant that the Linda Vidler Park became a much-needed green space and vibrant community hub, instead of being sold to developers?
Not exactly ancient history, and just one obvious example among a myriad of hands-on and advocacy pursuits.
For your own dignity and credibility, I’d perhaps wait until you have some real runs on the board before belittling the efforts of others.
I don’t see an online survey, a couple of meetings at the pub and some photo ops with the mayor as warranting the breathless hype and Brave New World status you have bestowed.
