UPDATE: Monday, June 8 – 10.30am: This missing person has been located and is safe.
Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage girl missing from The Channon, north of Lismore.
The girl aged 16, was last seen on Channon Road, The Channon, about 2.30pm on Thursday 4 June 2026.
When she was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to Richmond Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts. Police hold concerns for her welfare.
She is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 160cm to 165cm tall, of thin build with brown hair. She was last seen wearing boots, knee-length green skirt, oversized denim jacket with patches, and a green, red and black knitted scarf.
She may be carrying backpack with a light coloured with mushroom image, or a green tote bag.
She is known to frequent The Channon, Ballina and Murwillumbah areas.
Anyone who has seen her is urged to contact Lismore Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
