Flite, a brand of Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC) and the global pioneer of electric hydrofoil technology, have been awarded the Red Dot: “Best of the Best” – the highest distinction in the internationally renowned Red Dot Design Awards.

The Byron Bay-based company achieved 99 Red Dot “Winner Points” out of a possible 100 for their FLITELab* AMPJet model.

The company says, ‘The recognition marks a major milestone… and highlights Flite’s continued commitment to advancing foiling through industry‑leading innovation, engineering precision, and design excellence. It also reinforces the role of FLITELab*, Flite’s performance and innovation division, and in shaping the future of foiling technology’.

‘Earning Red Dot: Best of the Best is a powerful validation of how far foiling technology has progressed,’ said Nick Stickler, President of Flite. ‘AMPJet represents a fundamental shift in propulsion design, delivering performance, efficiency, and versatility in a way that expands what riders can do on the water. This recognition reflects the drive, expertise, and relentless focus on innovation that defines our team.’

The company says the Flite has the ‘first removable jet cartridge fully integrated within a foil board structure, delivering 25 kilograms (55 pounds) of thrust when needed, with no additional drag from external components’.

‘Designed for prone foiling, winging, parawinging and downwinding, AMPJet enables a single, streamlined propulsion solution that expands access to previously unreachable conditions. Conceived by Chris Reynolds, Product Architect, to unlock waves that were previously impossible to catch by paddling alone, AMPJet turns that vision into reality and opens up a new frontier in foil surfing.

‘The Red Dot: Best of the Best distinction is awarded only to the most innovative products in each category, recognizing pioneering design and exceptional product quality. FLITELab* AMPJet earned 99 Red Dot Winner Points out of a maximum of 100, reflecting its standout performance in this year’s competition’.
