
Another infrastructure repair project in response to damage caused by the Northern Rivers floods and landslides disasters more than four years ago has been announced.
Workers are to replace a culvert damaged in the 2022 disasters on Crofton Road near Nimbin and the Nightcap National Park.
Temporary single-lane closures are expected to be in place for about three months, with roadworks due to start later this month and to include pavement upgrades.
The Lismore City Council said work was planned to happen during their standard operating hours of 6:30am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday and 8:30am to 1:00pm Saturdays.
Heavy machinery would be in use, the council advised, which may result in increased noise, dust and occasional vibration.
‘Essential vegetation management,’ is also planned, that the council said could contribute to temporary increases in dust and pollen.
