Cheek Media founder, Hannah Ferguson, will headline a panel of prominent women leaders at the Regent Theatre in Murwillumbah next Thursday, in an event the organisers say brings, ‘the kind of line-up you’d usually travel to Sydney for’ to the Northern Rivers.
No Small Thing, hosted by the NRCF Women’s Giving Circle, brings together Ferguson, Grata Fund founder Isabelle Reinecke, former Nature Conservancy global director of gender equity Robyn James, and Coolamon Community CEO Evie Wood for a conversation about staying hopeful and effective in the face of large-scale challenges.
The evening will explore how progress happens across climate, gender equality, media, democracy and community action — and why local action still matters.
No Small Thing is on Thursday 2 July from 5pm to 9.30pm at the Regent Theatre, Murwillumbah. Tickets at humanitix.com.
About the Women’s Giving Circle
‘The NRCF Women’s Giving Circle is a growing collective of women across the Northern Rivers, pooling their resources to fund grassroots projects in the region — trauma recovery in Kyogle, cultural mentoring with Bundjalung girls in Byron Shire, the work Evie does at Coolamon. Members contribute $1,000 a year, or $20 a week. Each year, they vote together on where the funds go’, organisers say.
‘The 2 July panel is one of the most direct ways to find out what the Circle is about. Learn more about the Women’s Giving Circle’.
