Not-for-profit philanthropic organisation, Northern Rivers Community Foundation (NRCF), have released their annual report for 2025, revealing $2.4m was raised, and 121 projects funded across the region.
More importantly, it revealed how the funds can lead to projects which are life changing across arts, and culture, disaster resilience, inclusive communities, youth, food security, the environment and animal welfare.
Some of the projects funded by NRCF included Fire to Flourish Tenterfield ($1m), 2025 – 2026 Community Grants Round ($416k), 2025 Empowering Women & Girls Grants ($80k), Cyclone Alfred Response Grants ($57k) and Fire to Flourish Clarence Valley ($823k).
NRCF say, ‘Our vision is of a generous, compassionate and equitable community, where people care for one another, resources are shared, and everyone has the opportunity to thrive’.
‘We believe this kind of community is built through connection, when individuals, families, organisations and partners come together to support local leadership and collective action’.
