Although I was grateful that The Echo wrote an article about my daughter Amani Wiriyanjara being accepted into the prestigeous New York Joffrey Ballet School Traineeship (page 7, 20/5/26), it included an incorrect GoFundMe link.
We are so very grateful that Amani has had phenomenal opportunities here in the Byron Shire. It has been a wonderful place for her to soak up the high quality of education, training, and mentorship.
We would especially like to thank Shearwater, Byron Ballet, and Spaghetti Circus, for their incredible directors, teachers, coaches, life-long mentorship, and audiences.
