
Four homes were damaged by fire last night at the Homestead Caravan Park at Chinderah, according to Chinderah & Surrounds People’s Hub.
They said, ‘This morning I spoke with l owner resident and he has lost everything if you have kitchen ware, bedding, linen warm mens clothing medium size please bring them to the Hub at 43 Pearl Street Kingscliff. Thank you for your kindness’.
ABC North Coast also reported that, ‘Firefighters say a blaze spread quickly destroying two residential vans in the Homestead van park in Chinderah around 8pm last night and causing serious smoke and heat damage to another two homes. None of the mostly elderly residents was seriously hurt. FRNSW Acting Zone Commander Gary White said it was lucky no-one was hurt, and a timely reminder that all homes need smoke alarms’.
