Now that Mandy is the official candidate for the Greens at next year’s state election, I expect Echo Publications to cease with her weekly column.
The Echo is supposed to be a local, impartial news outlet but publishing her weekly article is nothing more than a covert promotion of her and the Greens.
The disclaimer at the end of the column is pointless and a very poor attempt to portray impartiality.
Hopefully we won’t see the column again.

• Last week’s column was a critique of Pauline Hanson’s ‘monoculture’, a policy that Paul Keating skewered 30 years ago. This week’s column is on sobriety. The Echo will continue to publish Mandy’s columns and also hold the Greens to account – especially in our local area. – Letters Ed
