Have you been wondering how to make a change in Palestine? This Sunday, Northern Rivers Friends of Palestine (NRFP) are inviting people to join in a community action day at Marvell Hall, Marvell Street, Byron Bay from 12 noon to 4pm and find out how they can get involved to make positive change in Gaza and the West Bank.
‘It is always the people who drive the social movements that have made real change to our world,’ says former Byron Shire councillor Cate Coorey.

‘You don’t have to feel powerless, all our actions add up, whether you have an hour, a month, or a few hours a week, there’s a place for you with NRFP and you can make a difference. Join us for an interactive afternoon of community organising, practical action, meeting new people and really good food. Whether you’ve been involved for years or are coming for the first time, everyone is welcome,’ she said.
‘NRFP wants community members to let us know how they’d like to be involved. We will workshop different aspects and ways of getting organised and by the end of the afternoon people will find a place with NRFP that works for them.’
