An ambitious lineup of gourmet delights, inspired events, thought provoking discussions and creative collaborations will again entice food lovers to Tweed Shire this October.

Savour The Tweed is in its third year as Tweed Shire Council’s signature food and drink event – it will run Wednesday 21 October to Sunday 25 October 2026.

Organisers say, ‘Co-curated by Tweed-based chef and author Christine Manfield and Northern NSW food advocate Amy Colli, Savour The Tweed brings an expanded program of almost 30 irresistible events that not only taste good but have connection at their core’.

‘From the important link between farmers and chefs to a deep respect for First Nations storytellers and the joy of delicious, carefully prepared food with loved ones.

‘This year’s program will include a fresh collection of long-table feasts, intimate producer experiences, and unforgettable dining moments amongst stunning hinterland and coastlines vistas. Expect more dynamic collaborations, more farm to table discussions and more spotlighting of the Tweed’s food heroes.

‘Highlight names to be featured in the 2026 program include proud Bundjalung chef Mindy Woods, author and TV presenter Palisa Anderson, Le Cordon Bleu Master Samantha Gowing and Sydney based Syrian chef Sharon Salloum, alongside Tweed chefs including Pipit’s Ben Devlin, Paper Daisy’s Baxter Newstead, Bistro Livi’s Dani Wilson and Ewen Crawford, Tweed River House’s Dayron Concepcion’.

Food and agritourism destination

Deputy Mayor of Tweed Shire Reece Byrnes said the continued growth of Savour The Tweed reflected the region’s reputation as one of Australia’s premier foods and agritourism destinations.

‘Now in its third year, Savour The Tweed continues to showcase the very best of our region’s food, drink and agritourism experiences, highlighting the passion, innovation and quality that define the Tweed’.

‘This event is a celebration of the farmers, producers, chefs, restaurateurs, hospitality operators and their hardworking staff, all who contribute so much to our local economy and community.

‘Savour The Tweed invites visitors and locals alike to connect with the people behind the produce and experience the landscapes, flavours and stories that make the Tweed such a remarkable destination.
