Jin Wu Koon karate juniors Jessie, Oscar, and Sage competed in their first AMAC karate competition at Nerang on Sunday, 19 July.
‘It was their first tournament but they all tasted success,’ said their teacher Richard Light.
In the 11-12 years mixed kata Jesse came second with Oscar narrowly beating Sage. The three boys then competed in the 11-12 years point sparring in a big field of over 20 mixed competitors.
‘Sage won a tight fight against Oscar with him and Jesse showing great form in both making it to the final. It was Jin Wu Koon vs Jin Wu Koon in a display of speed, focus and skill that was won by Jesse with Oscar a close second,’ said Sensei Light.
