Jack Evans Boat Harbour foreshore is set to be upgraded, Local NSW Tweed MP, Geoff Provest says.
He says the harbour is one of more than 100 Crown reserves across the state which will receive funding through the 2025–26 Crown Reserves Improvement Fund annual funding round.
‘The 2025–26 funding round focuses on practical works that improve the condition, safety and usability of Crown reserves, including upgrades to infrastructure and essential land management activities’.
‘I am pleased to announce that $1 million has been secured to upgrade and revitalise the Jack Evans Boat Harbour foreshore in Tweed Heads as part of the 2025–26 Crown Reserves Improvement Fund,’ Mr Provest said.
‘This significant investment will deliver major improvements to one of New South Wales’ most visited coastal public spaces, enhancing the foreshore for local residents, visitors and businesses, while ensuring it remains a welcoming and accessible destination for years to come.
‘Since the initial upgrades to Jack Evans Boat Harbour began in 2021, the foreshore has been transformed into a more inclusive, family-friendly and accessible destination for people of all ages and abilities. It has become a vibrant community space that is enjoyed by both locals and visitors alike,” Member for Tweed Geoff Provest MP said.
‘Applications for the 2026–27 Crown Reserves Improvement Fund are now open, with up to $13.5 million available for projects across NSW. Applications close on Friday 24 July. Further information is available on the Crown Lands website.’
