A free community gathering this Sunday, 9 August at 3pm is connecting generations at the Bangalow Heritage House and Museum.
Organised in collaboration with GenConnect under the theme ‘Rebuilding the Village’, parents, grandparents, and elders are invited to come together to connect, create, and belong.
Activities include Bangalow’s World Cup soccer, drumming with international flag drawing on drums, lantern-making and lantern parade, face-painting, and Gunters Pizza van serving woodfired pizzas.
‘Bring a picnic, a rug, invite a neighbour or friend and come and join in this free family event,’ said organiser Ruth Winton-Brown.
‘The “Connecting Generations” event was recently mentioned at the Legislative Assembly, citing that it is an innovative model that could be applied more broadly,’ Ruth said.
