Not only struggling shopkeepers in Mullum but literally thousands of us have been expressing our opposition to the proposed development at 57 Station Street, Mullumbimby.
Under the cover of ‘creating affordable housing’ and ‘getting people out of sleeping in their cars’ the Byron Shire Council (BSC) continues to bulldoze across our community with this monstrosity.
I’m calling for civil unrest and blockading the roundabout once the building machines arrive. We have succeeded in blocking Club Med at Belongil Beach, Bentley’s coal seam gas drilling, and we have caused delays and massive costs to the Clarence Property developer by our ’Save Wallum’ campaign in Brunswick (currently before the courts).
Let’s see if Council will be applying the draconian NSW legislation to suppress peaceful protest. Which side are our elected councillors on?
