The 2032 Olympics need to be managed by the federal government, a major financial contributor to the multi-billion dollar project, because the Queensland state government is being irresponsible in its choices and indeed elitist to the detriment of the interests of sports people. For example Qld are pandering to the written elitist and entitled request of a billionaire to have the rowing on the unsuitable Fitzroy River, when other sports would be more suitable for Rockhampton. The federal government needs to make the Olympics a national event to showcase Australia. One sport Queensland and NSW could share is surfing: make it a travelling event from Byron to Alexandra Headland and of course, Burleigh Heads. Step up, Albo.
