NSW Police say an investigation is underway after a man’s body was found on a rural property at Drake on the weekend.

Emergency services were called to Leslie Creek Road, Drake, at about 11.30pm on Saturday after a man was found unresponsive.

Bystanders rendered first aid until officers attached to Richmond Police District arrived and took over CPR; efforts continued by NSW Ambulance paramedics, but he was unable to be revived.

The 53-year-old man from Nimbin was understood to be among a group of people attending a bush doof party on the property.

A crime scene has been established and inquiries are continuing.
