Who ever thought putting menus in an 8-point font was a good idea? As a woman with reading glasses, who often forgets said glasses, I take it personally. It says: go away old lady. Radio broadcasting sensation, Norma Gunghoe, is launching herself at the world from the Mullumbimby Golf Club with the Gunghoedown this Saturday, 17 October at 6pm and you are invited to come along and join the fun.

Norma Gunghoe is a community radio broadcasting sensation with more than a hint of eco-curiousness about her. She is the ‘Unfiltered Voice of Our Community’ and inspires climate action through her strictly limited podcast The Norma Gunghoe Show, premiering this November.

Out and about

In preparation for the show Norma has been out and about in her anti-facial recognition make-up doing interviews with people like Greens Leader David Shoebridge, and the co-founder of Surfers For Climate Belinda Baggs. She has even spoken with members of the Lismore Loop of the Knitting Nanas Against Gas at a knit-in outside the office of the Member for Page Kevin Hogan who, to date, has declined to be interviewed.

Come and join Norma and her team this Saturday with a premiere screening of Episode 2 and a meet-and-greet with the team including, of course, the inimitable Norma. You will see performances by The Special Kays and other surprise guests, and you can even be an extra in the show if you chose. Entry is by donation and you can reserve a seat at: [email protected].
