IncREDible Art Show – Studio Red Exhibition

Now in its third year, the IncREDible Art Show is the annual Studio Red exhibition showcasing emerging local artists. This celebrated exhibition showcases the craftsmanship and ingenuity from a growing group of artisans who work from Studio Red, including Mathew Edward Wiggins, Zac Perger, Lee Spykers, Zion Levy Stewart, Liam Bruce and Hamish Graham. Along with the prestigious and collectable works of art on offer – comprising paintings, drawings and ceramics – there will be film screenings, live music and drinks. Arakwal dancers and the mayor will open what promises to be a fantastic occasion and opportunity to support these exceptional artists!

Opening night is on Friday 18 October at 6pm, at 5/16 Tasman Way in the Byron Industrial Estate.

Painting masterclass With Artist Pam Tippett

Alongside Pam Tippett’s survey exhibition, join the artist for a two day masterclass, still-life painting and drawing workshop exploring the techniques and processes involved in creating still-lifes. This workshop will include placement, tone, composition, and building up a work in layers. Recommended for adults with some painting experience.

19–20 October 2013, 10am–4pm. $190 per person, held at Lismore Art Space, 1 Norris Street Lismore. Places are limited and bookings essential, through Lismore Regional Gallery.

Grants to support arts and culture flood recovery

Nearly 50 arts and cultural organisations, screen practitioners, individual artists and collaborative groups impacted by recent floods will have access to $500,000 in funding.
