Greens Adam Guise to join ‘progressive’ Lismore council

Greens candidate Adam Guise has been elected to one of the final positions on the Lismore City Council, meaning that Lismore's new mayor Isaac Smith will lead a majority of so-called progressives.

Country Labor's Isaac Smith is the new mayor of Lismore after defeating Greg Bennett, a member of the Shooters and Fishers Party. Meanwhile, David Wright has been re-elected mayor of Ballina by a margin of 1,254 votes ahead of former Greens councillor and now independent Jeff Johnson.
