Thank you from Byron School of Art
The Byron School of Art directors would like to express their thanks and gratitude to BSA’s students, staff and community. They would also like to take this opportunity to thank the generous sponsors who have supported the BSA Graduate Exhibition, Hello I Must Be Going. Thank you, everyone, and best wishes for the holiday season.

Newrybar Hall Art Sale
The art sale at the Newrybar Hall on Sat 17 & Sun 18 December, 9.30am–3.30pm both days, represents a collection of original work by eight local artists, most of whom have been regular attendees of the Dynamic Drawing classes in Byron Bay and Mullumbimby.
The work represents a striking and diverse range of talent and narrative, with real authenticity and signature. Each of the artists has extensive experience in both their approach and style. The work is intimately derived with craft and elegance and displays both integrity and spontaneity, offering rich and refreshing viewing. This is an art exhibition well worth seeing!
Come and view the work in the spacious and well-ventilated comfort of the heritage listed Newrybar Hall. All participating artists will be there to chat about the work. Xmas is nearly here – a perfect opportunity to support local artists and buy a painting for a friend or family!
13/15 Old Pacific Highway, Newrybar

Official opening Friday 9 December. 6pm–8pm.

Studio Suvira Open Studio and December Sale
Set amidst a charming gardenscape are Suvira’s workshop, showroom and sculptures – an interesting place to visit! Suvira is a long-time potter and sculptor and resident of Byron Shire for decades; his tableware is renowned for its practicality, his sculptures for their originality, his large vessels for unmatched surface qualities. Always such finesse. His current exhibition is a culmination of the works resulting from the extreme firing methods employed (in the ancient woodfired kiln) and his studio production.
If it’s a teapot that piques your interest, a salad bowl perhaps, a vase or a statement vessel, there is every chance you will find your piece with Suvira. It’s on the edge of town with off-street parking; swing by to be awed and surprised. There’s a sale on too.
