Wonderful for The Echo to give the space for Grade three student, Leo Turnbull, to write about his flood experiences. It is refreshing to read an honest account. Often we make unconscious decisions based on traumas or exciting occasions which carry over to adult life. I hope Leo sees the impact he has made as a writer and I hope this is added to his CV – whatever the size!
Only time will tell if and what he will take from this event to help himself and others in the future.

For four decades The Echo has printed the stories some people loved, some people hated, and some pretended not to read. If you want us to keep telling the truth, the real truth, not the sugar-coated version. We’ll need your support to keep the presses rolling.
