A parting gift of rain last night which settled some of the dust at the final day of the Falls Music and Arts Festival at Yelgun was welcomed by many of the thousands enjoying some of the event’s headline performers.
Rain which had been threatening all day finally washed down on the crowds at the two main al-fresco amphitheatre stages at around 8pm.
But the crowds, which have numbered around 15,000 over the three-day event at the North Byron Parklands site, lapped it up as much as the star attractions on stage.
Ending the inaugural Byron Falls festival at the main amphitheatre were revived cult superstars from the US, The Violent Femmes, followed by Neil Finn, The Wombats and MGMT.
