As Saturday morning dawned, the Angel of Bentley rose over Byron Bay’s Main Beach, almost a year to the day that the blockade wound up after the state government halted Metgasco’s CSG drilling licence there. Following an emotional reunion, protectors headed to Red Devil Park to enjoy a day of celebration with the soundtrack of some of the region’s favourite musos.
