There is nothing healthier than drinking some water – or so I’ve always told my kids. It doesn’t contain sugar or colour additives – as one person used to tell us as children, ‘it’s sky juice’! What could be better?

Vale the Good Knight

A special commemorative Uke Night will be held in honour of Fiona Knight, who died earlier this month after a long battle with cancer. Fiona was an early member of the Uke crew and is fondly remembered when she donned an afro wig and sang at the soul Motown Disco Uke Night back in 2014. There was no service, as Fi wished for her body to be donated for research. She has touched the lives of many people who need to remember her and say goodbye together. So grab your uke, and come to Club Mullum in The Ex-Services Club at the usual time, from 6.30pm. A bucket for non-compulsory donations will be left on the door to help cover costs and musicians. Thursday at the Mullum Ex-Services.

More Bach is on the menu with a duo cantata, featuring Gaynor Morgan and Geoff Web. The Amatori choir will add a feast of acapella delights by Liszt, Banchieri and others. Concerts at St Martin’s in Mullumbimby on Saturday from 3.30pm and at Federal Hall on Sunday at 3.30pm. The Federal community will be offering afternoon tea and song prior to the event.

Tickets: Adults $25, Concession $15 and Children $5, available at the Art Piece Gallery, Mullumbimby Bookshop, and at the door.

Client Liason
Client Liason

Your very own Client Liaison

Client Liaison have just released the video for their current single World Of Our Love. The video was produced, directed and animated by Melbourne-based creative house Oh Yeah Wow. Speaking about the new video, directors Mike Greaney and Aaron McDonald said: ‘The clip is an exploration of an animated tropical paradise that stands as the personification of Client Liaison’s World Of Our Love. It’s an absurdist pastiche of cultist and Australiana iconography, retro-future architecture, and exotic wild animals. We packaged these ideas up in a visual style that was heavily inspired by late-80s Masters of the Universe cartoons and then basically just had a blast coming up with the most outrageous ideas we could think of within that framework.’

With shareholder confidence at an all-time high and strong yield from the Groovin’ The Moo Festival dates, Client Liaison embark on their national tour with a show at the Hotel Great Northern on Thursday.
