
The founder of the popular drumming group, The Samba Blisstas, is recovering in a Gold Coast hospital after suffering heart failure last week.

Paul Barrett was admitted to the Tweed hospital last Wednesday and later transferred to the Gold Coast hospital’s Cadio unit.
The diagnosis so far is dilated Cardiomyopathy or Heart muscle failure/enlarged heart.
He remains in Gold Coast Hospital undergoing tests and treatment.
Samba Blissta member Janel Morrissey has started a gofundme campaign to raise $5,000 to help with his medical and living costs.
