Police are seeking assistance from the community to locate 13-year-old Jade Kururangi.
Jade left his home with a friend to attend Whian Whian Falls on Tuesday and left the location failing to let his friend know.
At this stage Jade has not returned home and inquires indicate he could be on the Gold Coast around the Helensvale area.
Police have confirmed they have been investigating and making inquires with this matter since Tuesday. ‘These inquires have led us to believe he is on the Gold Coast,’ said a police spokesperson. ‘However we are now seeking assistance from the community.
‘Sometimes during an investigation community assistance is not always the first point of call, it depends on the concerns shared by all parties involved.’
Jade is described as being:
Maori appearance.
Dark brown skin.
Thin to medium build.
160 -165cm tall.
Black short hair.
Wearing:
Black short sleeve puffer jacket.
White long sleeve jumper underneath.
Black shorts.
White shoes.
