Police say a man has died following after crashing his motorbike in Coffs Harbour in the early hours of this morning.
Emergency services were called to Donn-Patterson Drive, near Bonalbo Close, around 1.30 am Thursday after receiving reports a motorbike had left the road and hit a tree.
The rider was treated at the scene before being taken to Coffs Harbour Hospital, where he later died.
Police are yet to formally identify the man but initial reports say he was likely a 23-year-old man.
Officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District have set up a crime scene and forensic police have joined the investigation.
Police say a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
