It seems to me that many people in favour of expansion of the Lismore Airport are missing the point of the objections; that is, the future noise levels, not the present levels.
No-one has yet experienced the effects of the overseas flying schools that are being invited to base themselves here. Once they are here there are no firm controls to do anything about the impacts.
I found the survey rather wishy washy about noise levels and many people who are about to get a noisy shock were probably not aware of the expected levels.
