Ballina Shire Council (BSC) will temporarily close a section of Sinclair Street, Wardell from Monday, November 18.
Sinclair Street will be closed to traffic from Bridge Drive to Richmond Street for approximately three weeks. Detours via Fitzroy, Carlisle and Cedar Street will be in place during this time. Pedestrians will be detoured via Richmond Street onto Bridge Street. Access to properties will be maintained via the western end of Bridge Street. The Wardell Wharf will remain open during this period.
‘This closure is necessary for essential stormwater upgrade works, which are part of Council’s Wardell Community Green Space project,’ said BSC in a press release.
‘Given these additional works, the Wardell Community Green Space is now expected to be open for the community to enjoy by the end of March 2025.’
