Update: Evacuate now Fingal Head 

‘You must evacuate now because forecasted heavy rainfall will close evacuation routes. Cyclonic wind gusts may cause roads to be blocked and power outages may occur,’ said the SES.

‘You should evacuate to stay with family, friends, or alternate accommodation in areas unaffected by flooding.’

If you are unable to find accommodation go the the evacuation centre that has been set up at Kingscliff TAFE, 806 Cudgen Road, Kingscliff NSW 2487.

The SES has issued and emergency warning directing people in Fingal Head including all properties along Fingal Road, Lagoon Road and between Queen Street and Main Street to evacuate before 9pm tonight. 

‘You must evacuate before this time because forecasted heavy rain fall will close evacuation routes. You should evacuate to stay with family, friends, or alternate accommodation in areas unaffected by flooding,’ said the SES.

If you are unable to find accommodation an evacuation centre has been set up at Kingscliff TAFE, 806 Cudgen Road, Kingscliff NSW 2487.

‘If you remain in the area, you may become trapped without power, water, and other essential services. It may be too dangerous for NSW SES to rescue you, and buildings may not be able to withstand the impact of flood water,’ said the SES.
