Teven Golf Club

Teven Golf Club has announced the launch of Teven Gives Back, a new community initiative designed to support local causes across the Northern Rivers through the power of golf and community connection.

The club is located at 1684 Eltham Road, Teven, west of Lennox Head.

In a media release, the club says, ‘The program will debut later this year with a special charity event in partnership with the Northern Rivers Community Foundation (NRCF) Women’s Giving Circle, bringing together local leaders, philanthropists and the wider golf community for a day focused on generosity and impact’.

Teven Golf Club General Manager Luke Cannon said the initiative reflects the club’s growing role within the region.

‘Teven has always been about more than golf. It’s about people, community and connection’.

‘Teven Gives Back’ is a natural extension of that – creating a platform where our members and partners can contribute to meaningful causes across the Northern Rivers.’

The media release says, ‘The inaugural event will see participants come together for a day of golf, networking and philanthropy, with funds raised supporting programs that strengthen the region’s communities’.

NRCF’s Women’s Giving Circle

‘The NRCF’s Women’s Giving Circle is known for bringing women together to collectively support grassroots initiatives and community organisations’.

Cannon said the partnership was a perfect fit.

‘The Women’s Giving Circle has built something really powerful in this region. We’re proud to support their work and to provide a platform that brings people together for a shared purpose.’

‘The Teven Gives Back initiative is expected to become a recurring feature on the club’s calendar, with additional charity partnerships and community-focused events planned in the future.

‘For Teven Golf Club, the goal is simple – to use the club’s growing platform to support the region that supports it’.

Could you be a better councillor?

I had the opportunity to speak to the NSW Reconstruction Authority (NSW RA) last month. One of the matters I brought up was the proposed 57 Station Street, Mullumbimby development. It was clear that the only ‘community feedback’ they would be listening to supported housing development on that site.
