This ANZAC Day, RSL NSW is calling on communities across NSW to come together in a show of unity and gratitude by attending local commemorative services on Saturday, 25 April.

More than 300 RSL NSW sub-Branches will host commemorations across the state, including dawn services and marches, to honour the men and women who have served –and continue to serve – our nation.

This year’s commemorations hold special significance as they mark 110 years since the Gallipoli Landings and 80 years since the end of the Second World War.

President of the Ballina RSL sub-Branch, Jamie Tanner is encouraging the local community to embrace the ANZAC spirit—mateship, courage, determination, and resourcefulness –values that were forged on the shores of Gallipoli and continue to define what it means to be Australian.

Honoured

‘Our passionate veteran volunteers are honoured to serve the Ballina community as the custodians of ANZAC Day commemorations,’ said Jamie.

‘We welcome everyone – young and old – to commemorate in their own way and pay tribute to all who have served in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.

‘ANZAC Day is more than a ceremony; it’s a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made in the name of our freedom. That’s the ANZAC spirit.’

  • 5:30am – Dawn Service at Ballina RSL Memorial Park. Following the service, the public is warmly invited to enjoy a $5 plated breakfast on the ground floor of Ballina RSL.
  • 10:30am – ANZAC March commences with an 11:00am ANZAC Day Commemorative Service at RSL Memorial Park Ballina.

On 25 April the local community has an opportunity to stand together, honour the past, and carry forward a legacy of courage and community.
