Local singer songwriter Chris Fisher has been selected for a global age positive project, ’50 over 50’, supported by the Talent Is Timeless movement.
Talent Is Timeless have a mission to challenge ageist stereotypes in the music industry and champion mature artists.
The organisation is based in the UK with networks and membership extending through Europe and North America.
Talent Is Timeless is a growing creative community of over 30 000 songwriters over 50 years old, they have run a successful songwriting competition now in its fifth year, this is the first year the 50 over 50 project has been undertaken.

Goonellabah based artist Fisher is just one of three Australian performers selected to be a part of a group of 50 artists world-wide, producing 10 track albums supported by the project.
Fisher is working on the production of what is his sixth studio album due for release in early 2027.
Fisher has performed consistently through an enduring career in music, known through festival, pub and club gigs around the northern rivers and beyond from 1989. His songs are popular on local FM radio and have previously won awards for composition, production and vocals receiving 10 North Coast Entertainment Industry Dolphin Awards and other accolades.
Fisher has been paired with a producer in the US, Steve Fulton, at Audio Labs, Boise Idaho.
Fisher said that being selected for this project has given a great boost in motivation and self belief, as an original artist and producer. ‘It’s so good to be a part of a community that can’t kick the creative habit, and to have access to a world network of professional peers.’
