For those who have a mullet to show off there is a new mullet category for all the family said Sue Walker from the show committee.

‘We have a new category that is the best mullet family. It has to be at least two generations of great mullets to enter.’

The official opening of the show is 2pm on Saturday, 7 November followed by the grand parade. However, there will be lots happening from Friday, 6 November including the stock horse challenge that includes new junior and youth categories, horse judging, a trotting demonstration, and an all-breed challenge.

There will not only be skilled axe-people showing off their woodchopping skills, but a chainsaw artist creating a permanent sculpture for the showground.

Kids can enjoy hanging out with farm animals, checking out reptiles, camp oven cooking and riding the Dinky Di land train that will be carrying kids and their families around the showground for free while the Cupcakes from Spaghetti Circus will be keeping the crowds clean and dusted.

There will be plenty of other fun with local bands and fireworks on Saturday night and two shows from the FMX Freestyle Motocross Team.

‘There are lots of competitions to enter from cooking to painting as well as plenty of events to watch and get involved in,’ said Sue.

Entry on Friday is free, and tickets are $20 per day for Saturday and Sunday for adults, $5 per day for 6 to 16 year-olds, and free for under 6 year-olds. You can get tickets at the gate or online at: www.mullumbimby show.org.au.
