The man accused of deliberately killing Mullumbimby motorised-bicycle builder John Foss will be tried for murder in the Sydney Supreme Court on 7 September.
James Andrew Mitchell appeared in Lismore Local Court yesterday, where he was refused bail.
Foss was riding his motorised bicycle along Coolamon Scenic Drive when police allege he was deliberately hit from behind by a van.
