The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter was yesterday dispatched to Whian Whian Falls where a male was suffering from head and possible spinal injuries after either jumping or falling from the falls at around 3pm.
He was reported to have been underwater for a short period of time before being pulled from the water by onlookers.
Due to the location of the patient the crew had to winch two NSW Ambulance officers to the scene.
A stretcher winch was then performed to retrieve the patient to the aircraft, and he was subsequently flown to Lismore Base Hospital for further treatment.
