Am I allowed to voice an opinion against the Israeli government?
What’s happening in Gaza? The USA, as well as supplying high tech weapons to Israel, joins Israel in a war on Iran.
Israel attacks another country, Lebanon, and we wonder why there is a ‘terrorist’ attack on Jews at Bondi!
Where are the sanctions against a country intent on genocide? We supported the South African people against apartheid, but do nothing to call out Israel as the pariah state it has become under Netanyahu.
No trade embargo, no sending their ambassador back, nothing!
Instead, there is a Royal Commission to look at response times, security checks, but no mention of a bully state intent upon dispossessing a people, the Palestinians, who have just as much right to live in that part of the world.
When is the media going to be fair dinkum in its world coverage and keep us up to date with the current situation in Gaza?
When will our government call out these war crimes against humanity?
Is it still being bombed?
Are the Palestinians still living in sub-standard conditions and are their children still starving?
Why do we allow their attacks on Lebanon as well, with impunity?
I have heard many Jews speak out against the Israeli government but nothing is reported in the mainstream media – why?

Some writers have been expressing their opinions, whether you agree with them or not, against the Israeli government of the time for decades in The Echo, so continuously that at times past letters editors have had to stop publishing them (and the inevitable responses to them) to allow other issues some airtime. – Letters ed

For four decades The Echo has printed the stories some people loved, some people hated, and some pretended not to read. If you want us to keep telling the truth, the real truth, not the sugar-coated version. We’ll need your support to keep the presses rolling.
