Key to the door… MP Justine Elliot with Drs Soden, Blankensee and Sterne from the new clinic.
The new Tweed Heads Super Clinic on Corporation Circuit is nearly ready to open its doors – but look at the size of the key. Big enough to match the $7 million budget it would seem.
With construction complete, all that now remains is the final fit-out, which should be finished in June, although an opening date has yet to be set.
Richmond MP Justine Elliot was on hand to help out with the honours for the new clinic built with federal funds she helped to deliver.
‘The GP Super Clinic has received strong community support. This service will help take the pressure off the very busy Tweed Hospital; it will deliver better local access to integrated health services,’ she said yesterday.
The new clinic will provide services from general practitioners, nurses, and allied health professionals in a single location.
The clinic will also assist in the education of medical, nursing, and allied health students.
