A well-known Byron Bay man was killed on Friday morning when he lost control of his motorcycle which crashed into a guard rail on the Tweed Valley Way just south of the Crabbes Creek turnoff.
Peter Dunshea, who was a longtime resident and osteopath in Byron shire, died at the scene of the crash around 11am.
Mr Dunshea came to Byron Bay more than 25 years ago from Sydney’s northern beaches where he grew up and enjoyed surfing, a passion he continued in and around Byron.
A farewell service for the popular local is yet to be announced.
