GrandMaster Monk is Australia’s first progressive roots band.
Steering away from just rehashing the past, GMM blends blues, folk, metal and ambient music into a continuously morphing sonic excursion.
Rob Scott’s recent witnessing of GMM’s live performance at Frogfest, Sydney’s progressive-rock festival, resulted in the band’s being signed to a five-year publishing contract with Source Music, the publishers of choice for Australian artists such as Jeff Lang, Ray Beadle, Ray Mann and Abbe May.
GrandMaster Monk plays the Rails on Saturday and the Nimbin Hotel on Sunday.
