Almost every band these days claims to have wide and varied influences – but the new EP Shards of Glass from the Gold Coast’s Kiara Jack & The Jills truly embodies this diversity.
The band’s live performances echo the sounds of world meets contemporary with the eclectic-edged voice of Kiara Jack at the centre of their sound.
After receiving an RADF grant from the Gold Coast City Council, the band went straight into the studio and released their EP in May of 2013.
Returning from Melbourne to share the recent release of Shards of Glass, Kiara Jack & The Jills will play a special show at the Railway Hotel in Byron Bay on Thursday February 27 and the Bangalow Hotel on Friday February 28.
Kiara Jack & The Jills are renowned for their live shows, which feature instruments such as the yidaki (didgeridoo), blues harp and stompbox, taking the audience on a unique journey of music and vivid storytelling.
