I am 86. I am on a full pension and I am so thankful to be living in Australia.
I have spent many weeks of 2013-2014 in public hospitals in Tweed Heads and Lismore, and I wish to report on the quality of service I received.
In both hospitals I was treated with kindness and efficiency by dedicated people who are obviously short-staffed but they never complained. These people are an inspiration.
Richmond and Tweed districts are experiencing high population growth and there is an urgent need for new hospitals to be built and staffed.
This is an emergency, a number-one priority!
It is much more important than 12.4 billion dollars put aside for some war planes.
Politicians of all parties, wake up!
